Step-Boxed™ '32 Chassis for '28-'29 Ford Highboy

Developed specifically for the '28-'29 Ford, SO-CAL's new A-V8 chassis addresses all of the problems usually found when trying to recreate the traditional look of a Model-A roadster body on '32 rails. For example, the rails are contoured in the front to fit the narrow profile of the '28-'29 cowl, and narrowed 1-3/4 inches in the rear to enable the rear of the body to sit out over the frame.

Of course, the new SO-CAL A-V8 chassis enjoys all the unique benefits of other SO-CAL Step-Boxed™ chassis. Those benefits are as follows:

The strength of an unground fillet weld on the boxing plates.
Recessed boxing plates which increase clearance for:
Brake lines
Fuel lines
Power cables
Exhaust systems
Steering components
A "swept C" in the rear which minimizes the stress of the cut and spreads the load over a greater area.
A manual transmission option or a universal trans mount that cleverly accommodates TH350, TH400 or 700R4 transmissions.
